Pittsburgh Film Workers Awards

The annual film festival and awards program of the Pittsburgh Film Workers Association will be hosted by Horror Realm in 2010.  The festival honors local independent filmmakers and will hand out “Creech” Awards for feature length and short films.

  • Musical performance by Kevin Van Hentenryck (Basket Case)

  • Stand up comedy by Beverly Bonner (Basket Case)

  • Performance by Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera

LIVE Horror Realm Red Carpet Party, the Funky Werepig will be in full harr-oink mode. We’ll be pulling up all the big stars, doing giveaways and flinging moon pies with reckless abandon. We can guarantee that zombies or hand puppets will more than likely be harmed during the broadcasting of this show.

Admission is free with a weekend or Saturday convention pass; $5 to all others

Open to 18 and up but you MUST have ID

  • Devilishly hip DJ and dancing

  • Cash bar featuring Magic Hat’s monstrously delicious ales

  • Costume contest judged by several Horror Realm celebrity guests

  • Creepy photo backgrounds to record haunting memories of the night

  • Silent auction featuring cool and scary items up for bid.  All proceeds of the auction benefit United Cerebral Palsy and The Epilepsy Foundation
